This is a new blog to LeanBulk.com about my training to reach a 500lb dead-lift. After I reach 500lbs I will set a new goal but right now that is my focus. First a few disclaimers about me: I am the new admin and rep for LeanBulk.com. I am following in my predecessors footsteps, Bobby Faber as he blogged his way to a 680lb world record bench press! In saying that I want to point out that I am not a professional lifter or bodybuilder. I have never competed in any sort of competition but I do think about it often and it is not off the table. But generally I just consider myself a normal guy. I am 38 years old and I have been a weight lifting enthusiast since I was a teenager. Although I have been lifting weights for over 20 years I have only been doing dead-lifts consistently for about 3 months. At the moment my 1 rep max is 415lbs at a weight of 195lbs give or take. Not an obscenely heavy lift obviously but still respectable. This blog will include training videos and intro videos each week via the Leanbulk youtube channel so you can follow me and my progress as I hit PR’s. I will also talk about the supplements that I am taking, if I happen to be on any!
