I need to be as lean as possible as am a dancer.

Have you signed up for my newsletter - in particular the first issue?
While many subscriptions have been delayed while moving into the on-line list server (which should happen in a month or two), the first issue may give you the best offering for how to do this effectively and prudent.
How lean are you already? If using these for "a few years" - if you haven't achieved the status you are trying to attain, we may chose to look into other avenues.

I would imagine that with continuous use of stimulants, you would have some rather suppressed adrenal glands.
I'd recommend taking a dreaded 2 weeks off from stimulants, if you've been doing this for more than 12 weeks. When you come back on, you might look at dosing 3-on 1-off or 5-on 2-off (which works better for the work week, at least for me). This helps minimize wreaking havoc on your adrenals.

Yes, continuous use of stims will contribute to hugely elevated cortisol levels and as a result, probably the exact opposite of what you are trying to attain as far as a particular body composition goal.
That said, I like that sinner has adopted the weekly offering that I have proposed for well over 6 years on the on-line circuits - that is probably as best you can offer.
While he is absolutely correct with his adrenal offering, another consideration for employing this protocol is to avoid vascular autoregulatory processes that are responsible for the effects you are seen as well as deleterious ones many users experience (high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, etc...). If you aren't experiencing any of those things with a continuous setup as you suggested above, that too is not that unlikely a result because everything has essentially adapted.

As opposed to? "ECA?" "ECY?"

Also, what's a good dosage to start at?

The biggest thing is watching the collective tally of ephedrine alklaoids you ingest per 24-hour period rather than simple dosages.
There was certain disagreement in ephedra's hay-day on dosing prescription rearding the optimal dose and form. Herbalists traditionally recommended rather wide ranges that typically exceeded the FDA's recommendation (albeit prudent).
FDA: 8mg up to every 6 hrs. (total daily dose 24 mg) for up to 7 days
Herbalist averages: 25mg of total ephedra alkaloids up to 4 times daily
Some studies: 50-100mg of ephedra 3 times daily (usually in the case of asthma alleviation though rather than weight loss)
Prudent Average: 12.5-25mg every 4-6 hours NOT TO EXCEED 150mg in 24 hours
My opinion: You need to assess via volume of distribution and it should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. In other words, your body composition stats will dictate.

I was thinking of just using it pre-WO to get some energy in me, and possibly in the mornings as well.

What time do you workout?

Does ephedrine provide the stimulant crash, so if you take it in the morning, you'll feel tired after about 4-5 hours?

Honestly - yes, for some people - which is why my recommendation for a bridged offering (CU, Vol. I, Issue 1) is probably the MOST prudent way to evaluate.
