Dieting Wrong?
I'm confused. I've been trying to slowing gain weight, mostly LBM and eating around 100g carbs/day on days I lift and just trace carbs on rest days. I don't feel very good right now though. Should I pick between CKD and higher carbs? I'm confused about the number of carbs needed to. Any ideas?

A CKD is the ideal way to gain LEAN body mass, if choosing this option Mon-Fri no carbs (generally about 50< a day) and you have the weekend carb up. If you want to go this route me or Dr. Houser can help set you up a diet.

I understand how CKD is supposed to work, I just dont know how anyone has the energy to function throughout the week with no carbohydrates in their diet. Trans, I take it this is the type of diet you follow? If so, how is your energy levels throughout during the week?

Yes its the diet I follow, however I just really started doing it within these past few weeks. When you first do it, its rough. You have to get used to it. You may experience low energy levels, headaches, cravings, muscle flatness, etc. This is when your body is trying to switch over from a glucose based metabolism to a fat based metabolism, which is what happens on a CKD. So again, the first week was rough for me, I experienced headaches, low energy, no appetite. But the second week, none of that, appetite was way up, felt good, etc. Ive read that your body makes some type of permanent adaptation to low/no carb use, and once you make this adaptation you should be fine. It definitely takes some getting used to, and you really have to plan ahead (meal wise and such) to make sure it goes smoothly. The diet can get old quick too, so a variety of food sources helps, and a lot of seasonings. Once I got used to it my energy levels are what they used to be, can't tell much of a difference. Just remember you can function without carbs, nothing is essential about them. Some even report feeling stronger and more overall better without carbs in their diet. The purpose of the CKD is insulin control. When you control insulin, body composition improves greatly.

I feel at a significant disadvantage on your history to offer advice that would be of any significance. If I did offer potential insight, it would be after a lack of pertinents.
If you have sent me your Body Comp profile in the past, I apologize - I am sure I don't remember with over 400-600 body types dealt with daily in some form...you will have to refresh me each time you offer something as wide open as this.
So, I would need a few things as standard prototype:
Age
Height
Weight
BF% (if know; minimal approximation)
Very specific dieting protocol:
Macros (if known): Protein/Carbs/Fat (and alcohol though not really a standard macro, there are calories per gram to be concerned with alcohol and how often)
*IF this information is unknown to you, try and post a sample workout / non-workout day of your menu. Menus, however, will be pertinent unless you would be curious to sign on as a client due to simple time constraints - on the forum, I can only really be of assistance with a diet already set in place rather than constructing one from scratch personalized as I am devoted to my clients first and making this process on their end even more efficient as such.
Note: If interested in this offering and/or pricing - please email for further info. No-interest finance plans and VERY workable fee schedules now available and website, I assure you is forthcoming with some suited ironing out of various tehnical issues at present.
As for functioning on a CKD - many of my clients ask whether or not they can stay "keto" vs. carb-up at all due to the INCREASED energy when I set these up for them. IF you are experiencing a lag in energy, you are surely doing something not according to any protocol I have ever written.

I am familiar with this username. This guy is a 16 yr old kid with an ED. He is rail thin (can pull pictures from bb.com) and has posted under a few names there, on Lyles board, and now here.
I realize you guys were not aware of this, but his caloric intake is way too low.
My suggestion: you need the carbs.

Hey,
I appreciate your concern and am certainly appreciative for you looking out for the well-being of our community here.
That said, the individual in question may have consulted me for outside assistance and his case seems to extend well beyond the confines of this post and/or what may have been suggested on a public forum.
I will have to match names up.

Did not even consider that, my apologies.
If I have the right person, I definitely think he should look for a consult with you.
