I think while you might have thrown some jokes in there, I might have lost you.

Let me echo a bit so I make certain I am understanding you correctly.

So, she is on a Clomid/Provera fertility cycle and since she is experiencing lower abdominal pain??? Is this bilateral (both sides)?

Any other abnormal symptoms?

Sorry for the confusion between her and my computer acting up I am going crazy.

Yes she just finished her 2nd cycle of Provera and Clomid. She had mild cramps with the first one. She said both sides but mainly her left side and in the middle of her lower abs. I would say abdominal but she keeps say it feels as if her ovaries are going to burst.

Sides this time around-
Moody
Nausea
Hot Flashes but those have went away for the most part.
Huge decrease with her appietite
Extremely bad cramps- The worst side that she is having.

I talked to my aunt a little today and she acted as if it were pretty normal.

Yes, this is most likely "normal." She's essentially being pushed through her menstrual cycle.

If it was unilateral (one side), I may have made a case for a cyst or something - but trust me she'd know...certainly it could be bilateral, but less likely. Not to completely rule it out as gonadotropins and stimulation of estrogens and progestins could certainly allow for her to experience discomfort in the abdominal cavity - mind you, this IS where her ovaries are "housed." The abdomen is a very large anatomical term, but they essentially free-float at the end of fimbrae of the fallopian tubes in the abdomen.

There obviously will be NO internet diagnosis, however, I think the inclination to see her EXAMINING physician who could best assess her scenario would be the best move here. If this is bothering her to any significant effect, her plan of action could be modified (i.e. - less Clomid, etc...).

An ultrasound or some imaging of the abdomen may be an ideal first step if she has never had one done recently.

Of course we will be seeing her gyno. But this is why I love coming to you! Damn is there anything that someone can ask and u not have an answer? My other aunt said it could be a cyst but she is a hypochondriate(sp) lol. But we will know something pretty soon.

She is done with this cycle, while she was taking it she was fine but this really started a few days ago. My train of thought was the additional drugs increasing estrogen and progesterone. He dr did mention that if we didn't get preg after this cycle he was not going to do additional cycle of Clomid but we would more on to what he called more aggressive actions. He didn't go into detail but I am guessing some type of injections? HCG? Women do take that for fertility correct.

Anyway as always thanks a million for ur reply, I know its best to go to our dr but still its nice to be able to talk to an extremely knowledgable DR. online.

"More agressive" is quite the ominous suggestion. That could be anything from alternative medicotherapy to an endometrial biopsy (unlikely in her age group) to in-vitro discussion and yes, hCG can be used as an ovulation-inducing agent; but as true therapeutics, I am uncertain I care for its overall efficacy comparatively however. It has to be timed in a rather pristine fashion.

Has she ever done a basal body temp log?

Her last prolactin and/or thyroid function tests reported?

Has she ever had laproscopy?

I suppose you too have had a semen analysis (considering prior cycle use)?

She was doing the body temp log for a little while, we were also using a ovulation prediction kit that her Dr. recommended.

I am not sure about a laproscopy I will ask her when she gets home.

Her last blood test was a few week prior to her last cycle which showed low progestreone levels. Thats all he really said about the bloodowork.

Yes my soliders are marching fine!:rockon2 But I may need to take another pretty soon cause my last one was sometime last year. I am takig 3AD right now.

I guess in all reality we are both being very inpatient about of this, but the cramps really concerned me because of the pain she was in and the fact that I had to hear about it every 5 mintues on top of her mood swings.
