I think the aformentioned exchange is certainly pertinent.
Now, even though I am entrenched heavily in herbal studies programs as we speak (yes, this doc continually tries to learn more), I cannot say I have a lot of experience with this particular herb.
I know it gets rave reviews in Brazil, hypothesized to increase genital circulation in both sexes acting as a nervous system tonic. The problem I think with it is that you need significant quantities to get the desired effect and with increasing quantities you can get nervous system stimulation and have significant difficulty sleeping etc...
I think it has a safe overall rating according to anything I have looked at, however, its use has most often been limited to combo preparations like:
Damiana + HGW + Maca + Oat + Shilajit
rather than in monotherapeutic trials...so I'd say if you think it is working for you, why not?
