Continued Hairloss after Prohormone cycle end
I did a three week cycle of Phera-flex (1st week: 30mgs 2 and 3rd: 45mg). Halfway through the third week I noticed a significant increase in hair loss which made me choose to stop the cycle. I did my PCT and continued to lose hair at the same rate. I has now been three weeks from when I finished PCT, so 7 weeks since the hair loss began. I am just wondering if this is normal and if it will die down eventually, or did it just jump start the inevitable? I experienced no other side effects from the pheraflex and I've read that typically if hair loss does arise it later stops with the stop of the cycle. My grand father on my mom side was bald before he graduated high school, but even after all this hair loss there isn't a visible change, I have really thick hair. Anyhow, if anyone could give some insight to my situation it would be greatly appreciated.

Please, can somebody give me any helpful insight? Has this happened to anybody else? What could the cause be, I'd be happy to provide any additional info as necessary.

I'd say hypothyroidism.

Thanks, though based on the symptoms of hypothyroidism it doesn't seem probable, my hair is in no way frail or brittle, nor are my fingernails, and I have none of the other symptoms. I appreciate your input though, and if it were to be a case of hypothyroidism would it sort itself out in time? I know my diet is not lacking in iodine and i don't know of any other dietary inefficiencies that could cause it.

I'm hypothyroid and I don't have most of the physical symptoms, I have the mental ones though.
Some androgens suppress the thyroid which in turn leads to a rise in prolactin which leads to lactating. Judging by the number of reports of lactation by others, it seems like many of them have their thyroid functions suppressed. But of course we can't say for sure without blood tests.
I don't know if it will fix itself. You may wait it out a bit but if that doesn't help then you can consult a doctor. I know for sure that my mother lost a lot of hair when she was put on cortisone, it stresses the thyroid too. It stopped after they discontinued her treatment.

To be clear, the only thing different about me now, the only symptom of anything that I am having is hair loss at an elevated rate. I have no symptoms of lactating and I am on no adrogens now (nor have I been for the past 2 months) the only supplements I am taking are BCAA's, protein, and caffeine here or there. I just find it odd that after stopping the pheraflex that this symptom has continued at the same rate. If anyone has had a similar experience with any prohormone please let me know, also if anybody has any medical opinions please let me know as well, any contribution is greatly appreciated.

I understand that. My point is that DHT or DHT-related molecule is not the sole contributor to hair loss at an accelerated rate.

I see what you mean, and I will take it into consideration. My main source of confusion at this point is why am I still having this side effect after stopping the cycle, like you stated with your mother, after she stopped the treatment her side effect of hair loss stopped as well.....

First off, what did your PCT include?
It is very difficult to tell whether this is hormone-related or not without employment of blood work.
It could very well be that you insighted enough estrogenic response post-cycle that you are seeing some left-over effect and you never regained control of the T:E ratio, but it is unfortunately again unclear without the above.
As for the hypothyroidism, this sounds unlikely. Sure, the acuity of onset could hypothetically correspond to the time spent on, however, as noted...this usually resolves with cessation of the suspected offending agent.
As an aside, it is VERY RARE to see hypothyroid symptoms coincide with accuracy of a diagnosis. Don't be lead down that pathway - truly unreliable.

My PCT was simply Iforce's reversitol, I still have a whole bottle of activate xtreme that I didn't end up using. I know it might be a bit lacking, but I felt fine throughout. I had no other noticeable side effects and my strength has actually gone up since. My body weight has not significantly changed nor has my bf% compared to how I am normally. I would say that the only other change, and I'm not even sure it actually a change, is that I'm a little sorer longer after my workouts, but I have changed the way I lift drastically so I'm not sure that has anything to do with this. Also I have not noticed any water bloating and the likes that come with elevated estrogen levels, so if it is that maybe its very minor, or taking care of itself. As for blood work, that won't be a possibility as I am away at college, and do not have a doctor to see. If it is just an off E:T ratio that does correct itself over time doesn't it? If you need any other information please ask and I'll answer as best I can; I appreciate your input, thanks.
