Default Carb up lenth

D,
In your bodyopus reloaded article you mention that carb ups should last 48 hours and you also mention that you begin the carb up immediately after you put the weights down on Friday. Do you then start your carb up from there and go for 48 hours or do you go for longer, say until sunday evening? I have problems with packing on fat after too long...usually if I let my carb up go from saturday morning to sunday evening it even seems like a bit long. Then again, I have never followed the militant set up that you have with regards to macros (60c/30p/10f), waking up for food, and timing the types of carbs eaten.
Do you think its a problem to carb up from after I put the weights down on Friday until 48 hours later on Sunday and then switch back to low carb for the last half of the day? I have heard varying opinions on this, but I have been swayed by the argument that it is best not to start consuming high fat meals after the body has been releasing so much insulin after high carb meals. What are your thoughts?
BTW I highly respect your opinion and have been an avid reader and lurker on various forums you have posted on for years.

48 hours is the minimum to influence glycogen stores to any significant degree.

I would actually re-induce low-carb after about 48 hours (strict) into late Sunday for possibly the "best" results.

Certainly compliance will be up to you though.

There are other forms of manipulation that DO work outside of this particular run. You should NOT be packing on "fat" in a short recomp like this - there is obvious issues with the way you are cycling macros.

NO

You still have to keep in mind various caloric demands. Fats are calorically-dense and because you resume a low-carb subset into Sunday afternoon does NOT mean you have to eat "high-fat" meals.

Thank you, It is very flattering.

Thank you for the response. Since the original post I have been using the carb up scheme in bodyopus reloaded and am seeing great results!
