6. You don’t know when to de-load/cruise , or take time off. NO ONES body takes a constant pounding of hard training without periods of active or full rest recovery. Until you learn how and when to don this your training will never be optimal

Q? Whats everyones thoughts on this?

I usually take a week break every 12 weeks or so. def seems to help.

The body has limits, but know when they are needed, don't use it as a crutch....

Off time is essential and non-essential, and demands placed on it are usually adaptable and the body can handle it well...
Some ppl constantly OT, they may not see the greatest gains, but their body's don't shutdown either, so I say demands are met, goals...well, not so much

First sorry for digging up an old thread but I rather liked it and wanted other new guys the chance to see/read it! I actually printed it out!!


Brings me to a couple questions, Ive been trying to hang w/ my stepson and a couple of his buddies at the gym and quite honestly its killing me! Theyve got me on a EOD type schedule doing arms/chest/traps/back twice a week and between work and that its literally starting to hurt me! Im waiting on my final supps to come then plan on starting them up but before I do that I was wondering if I should maybe try to break away from them and go at it on my own at my own speed/pace or just deal w/ it! Age wise there from 19-22 and Im 33 so Im not the youngest cat at the gym but the way they are working me I sure the hell feel like!!

Prior to working out w/ them I was still doing an EOD system just not as many muscles at one time w/ the amount of weight they got me pushing!
