See, I only use the smith to focus and burn a certain muscle down AFTER I've done my main mass building routine. I actually used it for a period of time to come back from a shoulder injury.... came back even stronger than pre-injury.

It has it's place, but generally I see it overused and abused...

Yep, I see guys that dont want to look weak hitting the smith machine after failing at 95lbs on flat bench. It's mostly highschool kids, but it happens. Atleast they're not humping the bench or bringing the weight barely their chest they lifted about 3-4 feet off the bench to barely push it back up.
