Default Where to add in rotator cuff work

As all of us now that have injured or strained our rotator cuff, it is important to strengthen these muscles and not let them fall behind. Just because you can't see these muscles doesn't mean you should neglect them.

So my question is this; when is the best time to do rotator cuff specific exercises during your weekly split and how often?

I always do some rotator work stuff before chest/shoulder day, and back day. Besides that if you are trying to strengthen them, I wouldn't see anything wrong with doing RC exercises EOD.

I personally like to do it after but i did a lot of shoulder stretchs before starting my workout for the day. I would also ice after workin on the shoulder... not sure if this is correct or not but it seemed to do the trick. Also, on the days I did this i would ake some ibprofen post workout to help with the inflamation.

I prefer to only do it on chest days which is Mon & Fri thats all thats needed and no need to go heavy just something light with about 15-20 reps not 2 light but not too HEFTy yaaa DIIIG

Can you guys make a list or post videos of what kind of RC exercises you perform? The purpose of performing RC exercises is for rehabilitation and injury avoidance, correct?

yeah u work it out to prevent injury if u work it out then it helps keep the strain off of muscles such as when u bench if ur lifting heavy close to maxing then it could casue injury if u dont work it out its happened to me at 19 so i work it out 1 to 2 times a week atleast

Your cuff muscles are very important supporting muscles. By keeping them in shape you are lowering your chances of a shoulder injury or re injuring your shoulder. Stability means everything when you are trying to press heavy. I got a lot stronger on all my pressing movements after training my cuff muscles for a few weeks. As far as videos go if you run a google search you should find some.
