i do 2 body parts a day... chest/tri's back/bi's etc... i was wondering if i am able to do 1 body part at the gym (considering each one takes me forever), and then come home and do the second one? and if that will be ok?

it would not be out of the question but you will want to keep the time down from the gym to home so you don't cool down

if its taking your forever to do your one part you should just focus on more compounds lifts( they usually work your secondary muscles anyway) and throw in an arms day or something if your don't have to time to finish up in the gym.

well it takes about 15-20 mins to get home from the gym.. is that alright? and yeah jcsti i should probably just do bi's tri's on one day but i had to switch my routine to do legs at the end of the week cuz im starting to do cardio and i dont want sore legs to prohibit my running..

what does your routine look like? how long are you in the gym for? also depending on what types of equipment you have at home i'm sure you could make it work.

back/bi's tuesday
shoulders/traps wednesday
legs thursday
bi's/tri's friday
sat-sun off.. sometimes ill do chest on sat... i work my arms twice a week cuz i want them huge.. i got a nice little powerhouse gym set at home and some free weights, dumbells/straight bars etc...im in the gym for about an hour and a half max... i dont have car so i ride with someone else.. im on their time..

it looks good but i would but the bi's and tri's out of your chest and back workouts they are secondary and if you want to grow lifting more often isn't better your not giving those bodyparts enough time to recover.

i personally like this set up when i get to do it because i rotate my workouts every 1 1/2 months or so

day 1-= chest/bi's
day 2- shouders/traps/legs-no calves unless it is on my every other day rotation *see below
day 3- back/tri's
day 4 off
and just keep this rotation working with cardio everyday

it keeps your secondary's seperate and spaced out by at least 36 hours and i also rotate calves and abs every other day

just my two cents which doesnt mean much but it will give you something else to think about when you switch up workouts and routines
