Default One Rep Max Calculations

Okay these can't be right. I warm up with 20 reps of 150lbs on the Lat Pulldown. According the the One rep calculations I can get a one rep max of 318 lbs. I can't. Not even close. It's like pushing a building over. I have a better chance of having a threesome with Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox right now after I type this message. Besides the stack only goes up to 300. And no I can't do a rep of the stack either. What's up with this weird science? Okay I'm going to wait for Angelina and Megan now.

i used them for 3's to 5's rep range for major lifts like bench, squat, and deadlift and its pretty accurate for me at least.....

the criticalbench one is actually the charts i personally use it really helps.

It all depends on the lift and whether or not you are used to heavy 1 rep maxes. But I agree with for most a general application of 8% of 3 rep max and 15% of 5 rep max. Any more than that on the reps will likely not be too accurate.

i though all you guys were body builders anyways?

This, I'm not sure how the formula was derived but it's accurate in true compound lifts. I don't think it equates for the lat pull down though, the same way it probably wouldn't for a bicep curl.
