Alright. Since this is a new forum, guess I'll be the new guy to post. This is actually my first day on the board. Hello to all. So far this site seems to be exactly what I've been looking for. I want to build mass but not get huge. Want to get big but still retain my good cardio. I've always lifted weights and have been successful at it. But I also love to run. Which is my delima. I want to get bigger but it seems as if I've got to sacrifice one or the other. I'm in the Army so running's a must. I'm 6'5" and about 215. Just wanted to see if anyone could get me pointed in the right direction. I would love to gain about 15lbs of lean mass and loose the fat I can't get rid of. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

welcome to the boards bro! Expect a response quickly as there are many intelligent individuals on this board!

One thing I can point out real quick is how intense is your current weight training. Typically I try to get cardio taken care of while lifting weights. This can be done by cutting back on rest time in-between sets and things of that nature.

That is one of the things that I try to do for cardio. Workouts are pretty fast pace. Try not to rest more than a minute between sets or exercises. I also run for about 10 minutes before I start my workout. On off days I run a couple of mile or when ever I feel like i need more. Like I said in my original post, I've always had to sacrifice gaining size to keep my run time fast for the Army. I don't want to gain very much mass but do want to get cut. It's just never happened.

At 6'5" and 215lbs you should be pretty cut/skinny no? Post up your training/diet in a new thread and ask for suggestions. My guess is you need to make some alterations to your diet to really "cut" up but you may need to add a bit of mass as well just to gill out.

Depends on the definition of intensity.....while rest intervals are important between sets....ive always defined intensity as how close i am lifting to my 1 rep max....basically how much work can i do in x period of time
