Diet critique... please help!
Hi! I'm a 23 yr old female wants to lean bulk approximately 10-15 pounds. I have a very small frame (5'1 on a good day), and am pretty underweight due to food allergies and a bad bout of GI issues (IBD, IBS, food allergies, etc). Unfortunately, I cannot eat any gluten or dairy products, and protein powders are not very digestible for me, thus my diet is rather limited.
Is it better to eat higher carb/lower fat for a CLEAN GAIN or higher fat/lower carb?
Any suggestions in terms of diet for me? Here is what I am currently doing (40Fat/30Carb/30Pro...is this a good macro ratio for a CLEAN bulk?):
Prework/breakfast
-3 whole eggs (jumbo)
1c apple sauce
1 TB flax (I will increase this to 2 TB once I get used to flax. it's a new food for me, so I have to add it in slowly)
Postworkout
-5-6oz Breast
3oz sweet potato (may increase this to 4-5 oz)
1c veg
1 TB Olive oil or coconut oil
-fruit
2 TB PB
-Gluten-free/dairy-free Pro Bar (perhaps add 1tb peanut butter? that might be too much fat...idk)
-5-6oz fish
3oz sweet potato
1c veg
1TB Olive oil or coconut oil
-2 whole eggs
1/2c apple sauce or blueberries or juice
This brings me to approx:
2035 cals
88g Fat, 792 cals, 40%
145g Carbs, 580 cals, 30%
154g Pro, 616 cals, 30%
Fiber: 25.5g
Am I eating too much fat and too little carbs?
I would really like to do a 20 fat/40 carb/40 pro split, but am unsure how to tailor my meals in this fashion.... or would a different split be better (my macros also tend to fall in the 33/33/33 range quite often).
Thanks SO much!
