LG Sciences for granting me the opportunity to give honest feedback on MMv2 and Formadrol EXTREME.
Other than a few select staples, these two supplements will be used exclusively over the next 8 weeks.
Prologue
Age: 27
Height: 5'10"
Quick history to date: I lifted throughout high school, but I quit for my first three years of college. Got back into it my fourth year (2002) and have continued from then on. I've done most mainstream routines - classic BB, full-body, upper-lower and push-pull splits, etc. - all having similar hypertrophic results. I haven't lifted in the < 3 rep range much. This primarily being due to me working out alone all these years. And asking for spotters
every single day gets old. I've done moderate to high reps (6+) most of the time.I have also tried various "diet plans" - macro splits, low/no carb, "wingin' it", full blown fat warfare (eating whatever I want), etc. I've been through and survived the "take every supplement under the sun" phase. Now, it's just basics.
Current condition: I'll be honest, I'm a little more on the tubby side than the ripped side. I've been between full-body and classic BB splits this year... mostly full body. Strength is average. Honestly, I feel that should be stronger for how big I perceive myself to be. I guess that's where that heavy lifting comes in, huh? I've been doing a CKD off and on for the better part of 2008 with great results. I started at 240 in December, coming in at 230 in February, and now weight ~220. I've gotten scale readings as low as 213 in the last week or two from glycogen/water depletion. But, after weekend carb-ups, I shoot back up to 220+. I stick to basic supplementation nowadays. Protein, creatine mono, multi-v/m, EFA, etc.
Desired cycle results: My primary concern is shedding some of this fat while maintaining as much muscle as possible... a classic "cut". I would love to see some of this titty fat and love handle blub to say, "Bye! Bye!" Having fat tits suck... it's like pseudo-gyno and it angers me. And my inner tube gives me that unsightly crease in the lower back area when I stand up. Bottom line - I want to be
JACKED and TAN!
Expectations: Being a pro-hormone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), I expect MMv2 to increase aggression, which will hopefully manifest itself in more intense workouts and possibly focus (tenacity?) I plan for some side effects regarding hair loss, prostate enlargement, and blood pressure to occur. I am going bald, but I shave my head and could really care less about hair. Heck, all of it could fall out for all I care - less maintenance. I have saw palmetto on hand to help if the prostate swells a bit. I have been taking hawthorn berry in preparation for this cycle and will continue its use.
Training summary: I plan on continuing with my current full-body routine, which is based around the deadlift, bench press, and squat. I start each workout with one of those lifts (MWF). Then I perform two auxiliary lifts, which are also heavy, compound lifts. Sprints are performed on Tuesday and jogging on Thursday. I plan on taking the weekends off - maybe do some walking or light bike riding, etc.
Nutrition summary: I have a desk job, so I'm sittin' on my butt for 8 hours/day. I try to be active after work - walks with the son, wife, and dog being the primary activity. According to
WebMD, I burn 3317 calories daily (including workouts). I plan taking in ~2700 (-600). I'm going to start off with a TKD and will continue with it if it seems to be effective.
Supplement summary: In addition to the basic supplements listed above, the plan is to take 6 caps/day of MMv2 for 4 weeks, followed by a 4-week PCT utilizing Formadrol dosed at 4 caps/day the first week and tapered down throughout the remaining 3 weeks.
