CU: Rebirth Future
Many have asked what has become of the CU?
...will it continue on?
...was it done away with?
Good News. The CU has officially moved to a quarterly production! "OK" some may ask how 4 issues per year is better than 12 and I think that this is a fair question.
With 4 issues, the volume (page number will be "pumped up" per issue). Each, what can only be officially called, MAGAZINE will likely be about 150-200 pages JAMMED with fresh material.
Doing a comparison:
Old thought: 12 issues at about 35 pages would yield 420 pages.
New trial: 4 issues at 150-200 pages will yield 600-800 pages! (+180-380 pages)
2008 will likely continue on in a non-print magazine ("e-zine") format free of charge.
2009 will likely move to print mag; nominal fee (if any) involved [have to see what is feasible budget-wise].
That said, I have a HUGE Winter 2007/2008 issue coming up with over 20 UNIQUE articles ranging from training to diet to supplementation and even steroid articles. I assure you that this will be something that continues to move forward and will never be complacent over time like the fate of so many magazines before it.
Hopefully everyone enjoys the change as I feel it will ultimately be for the better. Keep your eyes peeled to this subforum for more updates as they become available - SOON!
Thanks in advance,

Most importantly, this will probably work out better for you Doc!
Monthly projects tend to be TOO demanding for my lifestyle. If I can break it out into "bigger chunks" it is a lot LESS stress on me.
CU will be top notch as usual!

I am nearly in tears, but hey, quarterly is fine, esp with increased info...
so when is the quarter up, and we'll see a new CU?

HA! Yeah, my secret incentive. But, what was of prime importance to me to meet monthly deadlines was that the quality of the entire publication would likely ultimately fail. There is no place for this in something I stick my name to. You will see a significant difference to the Winter 2007/2008 Issue (effectively Volume I, Issue 3). It will be a little more classy and possess a bit more glitz for the buck (or in this case, because it is free, lack thereof).

Not to worry - it'll be more like getting 4 BOOKS per year than your prototype Magazine. 4 Books is actually more than some people read in their lives beyond school.
I will announce more about this and all respective changes during next week's chat event!!!
