Default Fish as a main source of protein

Hey guys

I want to change my diet from chicken to fish as my primary source of protein, but I'm pretty clueless on how to choose which fish that are highly recommended.

Some suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks!

I think tilapia and salmon a pretty good sources of omega-3s... other than that not too sure cause I personally don't like fish!

Not a good idea, unless you like mercury poisoning...Fish is solid source of protein and o-3, but can be too high in mercury...

i love fish and eat it when i can... but yes high mercury is an issue... i have read mixed reviews on this however. Some say it is bad some say it is not bad. I came to the conclusion that i needed more then just fish in my det. Good to change things up and good to keep all things in moderation. Despoite the facts i love me some good salmon and sushi a couple times a week.

Just fish or are we talking all sea food? Are you giving up poulty/meat etc? More selection if you do all sea food. Make sure you check where the fish is coming from if frozen. There are quite a few varieties of fish but everyday.... shit even sperm whales don't eat fish everyday.

Only with large fish...commonly the tuna. I eat a lot of fish! Usually these are the most common:

tilapia (love this stuff)
salmon
tuna
roughy (if I feel like dropping the $)

Sometimes I actually have to remind myself to eat some red meat so I usually buy at least one big steak each week. Like others have said though I believe a balanced source of proteins is best...

NAC is an effective agent at eliminating methylmercury in rats but i'm not able to suggest a dose yet (dependent on fish type, location, etc).

Salmon is the way! And its getting warmer, fire up that grill....

Tilapia, haddock, halibut ($), orange roughy...try monk fish too, has a lobster like texture, more dense than most white fish.
