Question Anyone a Vegetarian? Cut Diet

Anyone on here a vegetarian? I am going to try to put together something for a friend (female) who is a vegetarian. I want to get her diet together first which initially I was going to do some sort of carb restriction however she stated their "fake meat" is fairly pricey.

I may just slowly lower her calories and make sure she is training properly. She's a complete newb from my understanding so I am sure there are many things I can correct.

So what I am asking is there any diets you have had success with as a vegetarian? I'm guessing not many are vege's here...

I don't have any vegetarian experience, but some ideas:

- Some suitable sources of protein might be nuts or hemp protein, but that could get expensive also.
- Lentils might be a cheap protein source.
- The stuff you can read about excessive soy use is pretty terrible.

- Maybe instead of a carb restriction diet at first you change the type of carbs she is allowed to eat. Replace high GI carbs with low GI carbs. You can see some dramatic changes in people when they start doing this. In most cases, if you hit a person with an advanced diet too fast, they'll probably be turned off and give up.
- If she's already low GI, just lower calories slightly and begin the training routine. Can't fail with that, unless you lower calories too much.

Yes good points. I completely forgot about hemp protein. She told me she has been trying to limit sugars but gets cravings so I'm going to try and find some lower GI snacks. I'm still waiting to see what she is currently eating.

And I agree I'm not going to drill her with anything too difficult. I was thinking about 20 minutes worth of giant sets to try and deplete some glycogen stores followed by low intensity cardio 3 times a week.

Something like:

Day 1 - 20 minutes weight trianing + 40 minutes cardio
Day 2 - off
Day 3 - same as day 1
Day 4 - off
Day 5 - same as day 1
Day 6 & 7 - off

I think I can probably adjust her diet enough to get her better results.

This is my first (vegetarian friend). I'll ask her about the veggie burgers. She said she will eat dairy but "tries not to".

My 'diet plan' is effective! I'm not married to my woman, but it still works. The key is first driving down the self esteem. This makes her believe she can't do any better and that she deserves the way she is 'encouraged' to lose weight, even if its 10 lbs.

Its always a good idea to keep your woman slightly underweight. Makes it that much harder for her to fight back. Keeping her inundated with house hold chores will make her too exhausted to argue later in the day, plus with the one meal per day she is allowed, make sure there aren't too many carbs in it. This will keep her brain under nourished.

I'm hoping to soon patent this revolutionary diet and market it along side my dihydrogen monoxide supplementation program.

I'll see about getting Dr. Phil or Billy Mayes to sell it on the TV for me.
