Okay. I just finished a bulking cycle, and unfortunately I started out at 15.5%bf. Now I'm at 17% and I've gained some good quality mass. I've cut before, but I've never been able to get below 11.5% and also, catabolism is a problem as I usually lose more mass then I should. What do you guys think?

i think you bf% shows, once again, that you are not ready for and should be nowhere near steroids. your diet and training clearly arent where they should be.

this dude is 17 for anyone that doesnt know.

This was my thought exactly jomi!

I saw this all the time with guys in HS. After cycle, BF goes up, strength/muscle goes down!
You can't exactly "bounce back" if your not even "there" to begin with. Everybody is different though.

I used to be big into running and have to say walking fast at 15 degrees is much more painful.

Cutting is a mental challenge more than anything imo.
This is what I generally do, it helps to tone calves at the same time!

Actually my strength has been going up through my PCT. And for those who haven't read I've made the decision to not run anything again until I am of age. The reason for my post in here in the first place was to find the best way to naturally lose the most fat with a body whose natural problem is catabolism. My metabolism is such that I can gain weight easily, fat and muscle, and when I hit a plateau, fat more than muscle. It is also very hard for me to lose weight and spare muscle. Everyone's body is different, my reason's for a post in here was to get the idea's from peole that may be in the same body composition "boat" that I am and that would understand and maybe know a good solution.

Glad to hear you're into your PCT and changed your mind about waiting it out for the next cycle. Wise decision to listen!

Thank you, at least someone is listening to me and being somewhat helpful. Now Jomi, I would really appreciate it if you would please leave me alone and let me research and find some guidance as to the best way to do what I'm wishing to do (cut).

Hmmm . . . when I've gotten ripped in the past I've gotten there by doing an hour of stairmaster a day or running 5 miles a day with wind sprints after each mile or rowing for an hour. I've dropped sick weight and gotten where I needed in 2 months usually doing this. I'm not denying what you're saying I'm just saying different things work for different people. I think the problem with a lot of cardio heavy routines is that most people get tired out and dont stick with it or mess up their diet due to fatigue or exhaustion. During my shredding stages I don't lose much strength either as I keep to a hypertrophic strength regimen in addition to my cardio. I'm a dead on mesomorph. I dont lose fat easily but dont get really fat either. I gain muscle fairly easy but will have a slight ponch if I dont keep to my diet or fitness routine. I HATE cardio with a passion though and need to be focused in to go on such a cutting phase. The only real benefit I see to fat loss supplements is the extra energy. They can make cardio a bit more fun. But I'd rather just spar in the cage for a few hours for my cardio (even though its not that aerobic and is more anaerobic) than run or get on a machine. I also like rock climbing or hiking.
