EDIT: I eat right before bed not during actual sleep.... my fault

I like to eat at night, before bed, in order to keep my body fueled while sleeping as well as keeping up a high amount of calories. However, the mornings after are pretty bad. Within the first hour or two, I usually have to go to the bathroom 3-5 times.
It sucks. Should I cut out the late night eating and have more calories during the day?
Will not eating for the 8 hours during sleep, even though I eat around 5000 calories a day, put my body into a catabolic state?
Would digestive enzymes, taken at night, help?
