Default Hypothetical SD On-Cycle Support

Dr. Hauser,
After finding your insights in the other "Hypothetical SD..." thread invaluable, and since that thread really only addressed PCT, I was wondering if I could frame the same question to you with regards to on-cycle support. What OTC supps do you find indispensable to someone using this compound?

Let's say 3 weeks of SD, 20/20/30 or 20/30/30. Two weeks prior to cycle using SAM-e and Hawthorne Berry, will continue with usage during and after. Planning to use Liver Longer, Taurine, Fish Oil, B-Complex, and possibly PPC/Lecithin on-cycle as well. Reason for higher dose is a bodyweight of around 265-270 lbs. Thank you for your time and consideration.

you pretty much have it down with SAMe and hawthorne, however I like to incorporate creatine monohydrate as well. Not for any muscle building purposes, but rather because it bloats the average user which of course everyone hates, but the added water retention reduces back pumps which is kidney swelling due to increased blood cell count and lack of water. Taurine also works but the dosing is almost in the stratosphere, 5-10g a day depending on user, which isnt cheap, and because it doesnt help the retention of water you get that dehydrated "I drank too much last night feeling" in a lot of cases. Trust me on this one

I can't say that I completely agree with Voo on this one because there is a difference between intra- and extra-cellular fluid compartments to consider and creatine doesn't address the true pathology.

Nonetheless, you also get added cardiovascular benefits from Taurine inclusive of blood pressure-lowering, so if this is a concern - then that is likely the better agent. Taurine is also liver friendly aiding both gallbladder illness and hepatitis - but there is likely general extension beyond these two ailments. 10 grams is a bit high for most body types and while I admittedly have NO idea what your body composition looks like, many would find success in the 5 to 7 gram range (I will spare you the calculations).

Personally though if you are going to use Taurine, I would combine it with CoQ10 for cardiovascular protection though I would likely use it 2 weeks PRIOR to the start of the cycle for adequate therapeutic benefit.

Now, mind you - if you aren't one who harbors blood pressure woes, this may be completely moot, but it likely couldn't hurt either.

As for SAMe, you can start it either during cycle (making certain to separate your androgen dose by about 4 hours) or start it day 1 of PCT. The appropriate therapeutic/economic consideration would look as follows:

Weeks 1-2: 600mg
Weeks 3-4: 400mg
*If you started this during your cycle, then carrying the 400mg dose through PCT is appropriate.

I agree with the fish oil thoughts for EFAs, lecithin is hit and miss because you have to dose high, same could be suggested for the bile salts like the one present in Liver Longer - which is likely underdosed, but can be dose-adjusted with sacrifice of cost-efficiency. No reason you should make this a million dollar cycle. And a cheap B complex is also just more a supplement you should be taking ALL the time rather than acutely on cycle and/or in PCT.
