History’s attempt at Testosterone Enhancement
For years supplement companies have been churning out products promoted as testosterone boosters with large marketing budgets and flashy graphics in order to drill home to the masses that the product is brilliant. The fact is the majority of these companies spend more on the advertising than the research and development. In fact, a lot of companies save a lot of money by re-hashing the old ideas of the more innovative companies, or simply ripping off their newest ideas. To put it plainly, those who can, do, and those who can’t, copy.

Because of this, there are herbs ever-promoted by these companies for their newest products, and like a broken record you can guarantee they will focus on one, two or all of the following: tribulus, avena sativa and long jack (aka tongkat ali).

Tribulus has highly conflicting scientific research behind it regarding whether it does anything for impacting testosterone levels, although the older population end to note that they notice improvements in libido from it. Ultimately, very, very few users report any influence to body composition or strength levels. Avena sativa is touted as being able to increase free testosterone, and yet there is absolutely no scientific evidence to support this theory. In fact, we are quite perplexed as to where this rumour came from. Finally, long jack possibly has the most potential of them all, but results seem to be quite “hit-and-miss” and it is not rare for users to report negative side effects that are attributed to it use, such as itchy nipples.

More recently, aromatase inhibitors (AI) have been released and used extensively as a means of estrogen control. They also have the secondary benefit of tricking the body into releasing more testosterone, however many users will take dosing to the extreme which inevitably has negative implications on sex drive.

The Future of Testosterone Optimization

• Weighted dips with 200lbs attatched (increase of ~15lbs from 1RM)
• Solid reps with 405 on deadlifts (Currently stamping out around 385).
• 405 x 2 on box squats (405x1 being my PR).
• 135x10 on BB curls (currently down to 115 X 10ish).
• Bench 315 with chains (increase of 5lbs)
• 65 consecutive hamstring pullups (currently around 50)
• 85lb free weight leg extensions (per leg) (increase of 25lbs).
• 160lb single arm chest flyes with machine for 8 reps (increase of 20lbs).
• Increase to 15 reps on 250lb chest supported rows (one arm) (increase of 5 reps).
• Increase T-Bar rows to 6 plates with 10 reps (increase of 25lbs and 4 reps!!!).
• Increase weighted pullups from 45X6 to 45X10-12 (increase of 4-6 reps).
• Increase LBM from 195-198 to 197-200.
• Maintain and/or Increase vascularity.
• Increase mental aggression as much as possible.

Weight - 195 on a FULL stomach! Yahhhh!
Height - 5'10"

Arms are down to 16" dead even
Neck is down to 20.5"
Calves are down to 15.75"
Quads are down to 22.5" (WOW)
Waist (jean size) is 30"
Forearms are still at 14"
Chest below arm pits is 46.5"
Chest plus Shoulders is 53.5"
Belly Button measurement is 35" even


Firstly.. I would like to mention that my tan lines are hilarious, and my left side is 50% darker than my right... If I had an answer I would give it. LOL

Back is what I consider one of my strong points- despite it looking small. LOL

Then I have my favorite (front shot) and a wannabe tri shot.




My front is doing ok, but my chest is wierd in terms of strength... as you will see during my log, it fluctuates very sporadically. The tri shot does me no justice, but I was lucky to have someone take it for me lol. My tris are probably my best looking and biggest muscles next to my quads, but aren't photogenic at all. Last time I posted a quad shot, it turned out bad due to hair... and I have no intentions of removing any, so I will just let everyone know they look good LOL.
