Just a thought, but maybe you guys just have the bar set too high.
I made it a goal to gain 10lbs of lean body mass in one year. Starting from a competition I had competed in last June to the competition I was in 2 weeks ago, I gained a total 12.8lbs, beating my goal by just under 3lbs. Just my opinion but 10lbs LBM in 365 days is quite an accomplishment, and I think setting your goals much higher than that is only gonna lead to disappointment, but that's just me
