Default Diet for a power lifting program?

Sonny, just wondering what kind of diet you normally stick too while on something like the 2 sample styles you put up?

Well a lot of PL/strongman guys do not watch the diet much as seen in the physique but a lot still do. I do the standard as much protein as I can take in which is about 1.5+ per # and I eat a lot more carbs on training days. Not that that really gets me through the training though-LOL! I do not count cals etc. Not too specific sorry. I do tend to eat a lot more though because I am hungry and I must burn it off because my weight does not fluctuate too much. I try to still look decent and keep bf in the low teens. I read to be anabolic and not kill the joints you should be in the 10-15% range.

No problem man. I love to lift heavy with low reps i just need some body recomp as well. I am not that strong anyways but i thought i might give one of them a try just to see how i reacted to it.


I might try and send you my maxes later this week or next so you can hook me up with the excel spreadsheet i think you said you have if you dont mind. You need my 5 rep maxes correct?

I think you can do some body recomp same time by just eliminating the empty calories. The training will take care of some as well.

I have the calculator for the 4 days per week training not for the 3x per week. I will be glad to send you the spread sheet or the program itself to your email. Then you can mess with the numbers all you want to. Your 1rpm go into the program. I can figure out (estimate that based on 5 reps so you do not have to max before you start the cycle) I would definitely lower the numbers you put in at first though. It is a killer the first few weeks if you are not used to it. Or you may want to consider the 3 day and go with your maxes your call. Let me know. Be glad to help.
