Default Bulking, never cutting

Alrighty, this fact has intrigued me...

When someone is looking into using a prohormone, they first look for potency, then look for whether it is "wet" or "dry" and finally stackable options.

All very legit things, however it seems that most are always trying to gain mass, which at first seems like a stupid thought because people are trying to gain weight or size, etc. And most overlook things like eating properly and setting up a hypercaloric diet which will aid in the anabolic environment, however no one tries to shed fat and gain/maintain size.... why is this?

I have only seen a few newer logs out there where ppl are actually trying to grow if possible, but cut fat....
BB-ers will still use anabolic agents up to the day of the show, whereas those of us taking the more "natural" (well, without needles method) stop all ph usage when they decide to diet down.

Curious on others thoughts or if ppl have been curious about this as well?

It is ALOT harder to put on lean mass with no fat gain. Its much easier to eat alot of food, run a cycle, and not worry about cutting until after. Im not saying it is the best way to go about putting on weight, but its easier when you dont have to worry about fat gains to put on strength and size. To truly put on muscle while maintaining a low bf % one would have to be incredibly strict with the amount of calories they are have really good training/sleep patterns. Not saying it is impossible, just harder. I personally would like to maintain a low bf throughout a cycle and put on 10-15 solid pounds of lean body weight that i can easily maintain, rather than put on 30 lbs and end up losing 15 over the next month. Some people are looking for the quick fix, and those are typically the ones you will see balloon up very quickly and then lose alot of their gains. I guess it just comes down to the individual peroson and what their goals are.

agreed, I was thinkin there would be more views thoughts on this....

oh and what are you taking to gain 30lbs from one cycle, or is that with EXTREMELY poor diet?

I have seen this too, 30# in a cycle is complete bunk-no way is it all muscle-a lot of water and fat. And unless you are seriously under weight or inexperienced as far as training time goes I do not see how this is possible. I would guess eating everything in site.

Ive never gained 30lbs during a cycle. I know people who have though, and yes there diets consisted of about 6000 cals a day with alot of water weight due to the compounds ran. In the end they kept around 10-15 lbs of lean mass, so it is kind of a pointless process imo.

My strategy has always been to put on as much as I absolutely can during the cycle and then try to maintain all the weight post cycle while trying to replace excess fat with muscle. For example, post cycle, I drop some carbs, keep protein high, and increase workout volume slightly.

I can see this approach as being the more popular approach, i think as long as you strategically increase cals from healthy soruces you'd be better off, but size is addicting, and can create issues if you never diet down, however it seems that you do this (diet down)

Well, it's a little different for me. My metabolism is crazy fast. Even when I'm shedding fat I'm still on a bulking diet but just start limiting carbs. On the plus side, my metabolism is good for getting in shape because it takes very little effort but it can be tough to put on size at times.

ahhhh i c, I am going to try some short lean out cycles from now on, 8-12 wks "bulk" 3-4wks "cut" we'll see how it goes, i'm hopin the mass I have will be more quality mass once I start dieting for my contest, I want a lean dry look this yr
