Seperating methyls to produce actives?

Has anyone ever thought to take the methylated prohormones we all take on the regular to cook up and get the actives for say, injection purposes? Is it possible to separate the methyls from the compounds? It would basically be the same as disolving pellets for human consumption..

I would assume since they attach themselves to fats, by grinding them into a powder, cooking em in oil or some kind of fat, you would be able to extract the actual product.

Thoughts? Personal experiences?

Are you talking about removing the capsule filler, and making the steroid into an injectable?

What would be the point in that? Methyls already have decent oral aborption, that's what the methyl is there for. Look at Winstrol depot, there's a reason why the tabs are more popular, there's really no additional benefit to injecting it.

Instead of going from Point A to Point B, you would be going from Point A to Point Z, make a few other pitstops, and eventually end at Point B.

Adding carbons is MUCH MUCH easier than removing them. I can't even think of how you could split the sigma bond between two carbons, or if that's even possible without destroying the rest of the compound.

You're gonna have an easier time playing with non-methyls, more specifically ones that end with dione. Formestane -> 4OHT, 4-AD -> Test , 1-AD -> 1-Test, Finigenix -> Tren can be done.

I wanna say we would need sodium borohydrate and dry ice to make it work. These are pretty dangerous chems to be working with, they cost a pretty dime, and you're not gonna have the highest yield when you're done, and you're finished product will not have an ester attached. You're left with a sh*tty, unsteril product with a half-life of about 6 hours. You're going to have to inject 3-4x per day.

Personally, I don't think homebrewing actives from pro's is worth the effort.

demethylization is not easily accomplished and for most of these compounds, one would more often denature the ring structure prior to actually removing the 17aa ch3 group.
