Default Chili

You know it, you love it, you may even want to have sex with it (gixxer). Luckily, chili is easy to make - although the macros aren't awesome. Here's all you need:

Crock pot
1 packet McCormick chili seasoning (hot - mild is for wusses)
1 lb lean ground beef
1 can (8oz) crushed/diced tomato
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
1 green bell pepper
1 can dark kidney beans
1 can pinto beans or chili beans (who cares)
Assorted vegetables - green beans, peas, carrots, corn, spinach, squirrel - whatever.

Spices:
hot sauce, sriracha (optional)

1. Brown the ground beef. If you fail, stop here and don't continue

2. In the crockpot, combine:
  • Ground beef
  • Tomato sauce and diced tomato
  • kidney beans/chili beans
  • McCormick seasoning
3. Cook for 4 hours on low.

4. Add vegetables, hot sauce/sriracha (optional), diced pepper(s). Jalapenos optional. Add whatever else you want.

5. Cook another 4 hours

6. Eat, store, hide in vegetable crisper with the lasagna so nobody finds it.

Looks awesome. I like to make chili with ground turkey sometimes instead.

Yeah they do, if you can find a ranch and if you have a freezer, I recommend getting a 1/4 or splitting a 1/4 with a friend. My brother and I bought a 1/4 and got 140 lbs of meat for $350, fully processed. Got a ton of sirloin, and roasts, and about 20 lbs of ground among the 140 lbs.
