Travis needs to see this. he is a HOBO.

And LLLLERN is right about the bbq sauce I checked my favorite one... KC masterpiece Steakhouse and the first ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. Are there any healthier ones? Im guessing Newmans Own would probably not be too bad

We used to make these when camping. Dig a 6-8" deep pit and fill with coals from a camp fire or charcoal.

Take ground venison, beef, or turkey, chopped carrots, onions, peppers, and potatos and place it all together in aluminum foil. Season with Cavender's Greek Seasoning - low sodium & Dale's or Moores low sodium then wrap it up. Tabasco Chipotle is also good on these. Next wrap that foil in a few sheets of newspaper to help collect the juices and then wrap that in another sheet of foil. Place in pit and cover with coals and allow to cook for about 35-45 min.

This goes well with whole roasted vidalia onions. Peel the first few layers, roll in olive oil, sprinkle Cavender's low sodium, wrap in foil, then place in the coals. Turn out so good you can eat them like an apple. You can also do this on a regular grill at home without any foil on them.
