Anyone know? Ive searched alot on the net but i dont think anyone really knows...do you just toss them after 8 months just to be safe?

i have some 11 month old torem but i might just open up the new one.

my understanding is that it is good as long as it has not "crashed" meaning the liquid is cloudy or what have you. I might be wrong here though. And every once it has crashed then sometimes heating up the solution fixes the problem but not always.

so are you saying it may be solidified somehow? i know that it can settle but you shake it up which is normal...im still somewhat confused about the crashing term.

the last time i had something that crashed the solution remained a liquid but it becomes cloudy...not an actual solid. I was looking for a better definiton w/o luck so hopefully someone else will be able to chime in

I have read 1yr for r.chems. I wish I could remember where I read it. If I recall correctly it was posted by AG-Guys in a different board. I will try to find it...I understand what you are saying GS.

Stored in the proper environment, i.e. dark,cool,dry place, they will be good for a couple years or so. A friend of mine used to own a research chem company and he said from personal experience, this is how long they are "good" for. If they crash, just heat up the liquid and mix it around a bit. This will dissolve the crystals back into solution.

so its clumping? not fully dissolved? would you place the bottle in boiled water perhaps to heat it up again

Not necessarily clumping, but you'll see actual crystals in the bottle rather than a 100% clear solution. Yes, it is just not fully dissolved. Yea put it in hot water for about 15 minutes or so, take it out, and shake it. If it still isn't all disolved, then repeat.

im suprised that its not effected by the heat? mine seemed semi crystallized, heating it up seemed to have reduced it noticeably.

EDIT.
it still seems to be cloudy even after extensive heating, about 3, fifteen minute ones. Ima just use my new one, as this one is thicker and id rather just toss it

yea i have had situations where i could not get them back into suspension.. in that event i also opted to toss them... my balls mean to much ahha. it would be one thing if that was all you had available but since this is not the case... go with what you are doing... someone might say otherwise in the event Im not sure if the solution has to be TOTALLY clear to ensure efficient usage
