I dont think there is any doubt whatsoever that Silva has the ability/agility to be in this weight class. The question in my mind can he take a hit from guys in this division. We all know all it really takes is ONE HIT and its O.V. (over). He was used to getting hit by lighter weight guys and him being a bully of the lighter weights, it wasnt a big deal. This new weight class has some real heavy hitters. Can he take a blow from a natural 205+ lber? If he gets chin checked and wobbles or falls....oh, LAWD help him!!

Not a hater...if anything, I want to see him succeed for the continued rise of the sport. He is not gonna roll thru the middleweights, IMO.

I was astounded that Vera fell like that...I don't really know what happened, other than Silva hit him on the chin about 30 times after that.

I figured since he had an 8 second fight under his belt, and used his knees, that there'd be a little more fight.

Kind of reminds me of the Mike Tyson fights of days gone by. Mike hits, opponent falls, everyone walks away a millionaire.

He got caught, nothing really he could have done. Silva caught his kick and landed such a sweet punch right on the button.

Vera looked terrible against Andy. Claimed it was from cutting weight, I don;t know. He could and should have walked all over that guy.

Frankie Edgar looked great! I could not believe that bullshit TKO they gave Burns against Johnson. He got poked 4 times in the eye and the last one was really bad, but they gave him the win

Er...yeah. Sorry. New baby in the house and no sleep.

I saw 1/2 of that fight, and they just kind of stood around hugging. I can't remember now..the smaller more muscular guy...the one that lost, his kicks were almost like he was just kicking turds.

I saw the poke in the eye four times thing too and was thinking the whole time that "god damn that has to hurt". I was fully expecting them to either call it a draw, or just stop the fight and make them both go home. Letting him win just because Johnson laid down to prevent another eye jab was dirty fighting. If it was me, the 2nd time I warned Burnes, I'd stop the fight the 3rd time. I mean, you can't 'accidentally' kick someone in the nuts 4 times can you? And you sure as shit can't knee someone on the ground. They take that serious it seems.

I dunno. I'm kind of glad I don't follow it religiously or I'd go insane.

Yeah Andy the guy Vera was fighting was throwing baby kicks and punches. I understand he is a wrestler but damn those were awful.

Burns says he broke his 3 times in 16 months and was using plam strikes....but those were not even close to palm strikes. I think he was fighting dirty. I don't like to say that about fighters but 4x come on.
