BEST Teams in College Football
After the first 3 weeks of the season i would say there has been plenty of upsets. I think there is about 4-5 teams on a different level right now then everybody else. Not to say they cant be beat but through the first 3 weeks they look alot better than everybody else.
FLORIDA ( they are my favorite obviously, but they werent in this class until yesterdays romp of Tenn.)
LSU - ( may be the best team in the country we will see later in the season when they play Florida)
OKLAHOMA - (I think they are in this class but may not have to play a real tough game as it looks as if Texas is kind of down this year)
USC - (dont know how good they are either so far. I still think Oregon or Cal could beat them)
WEST VIRGINIA - (dont know if Slaton and White can win all the games by themselves and they need to watch out for Rutgers and South Florida)
Right now the top 5 in order are
LSU
FLORIDA
OKLAHOMA
USC
WEST VIRGINIA

1. LSU
2. USC
3. Florida
4 Oklahoma
5. West Virgina
LSU is stacked from top to bottom. They are a well coached ball team with crazy talent.
Florida is stacked as well. Tebow is a one man recking crew. His does what he wants when he wants too. Tenn isn't great this year but 59 points on ur rival is insane.
USC, what can u say about them, Carroll is one of the best recruiters around. Its ashame people that aren;t on the west coast don't get to see them that often, but they are for real, well we will find out when they play Cal.
Sleepers:
Penn State, Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama-watch out for the tide, they looked awesome against the razorbacks even though they blew a huge lead. Compare this team to last years they would have lost that game. Wilson is only going to improve with Saben and Applewhite's help.
Disappoints:
Michigan, Notre Dame, UCLA and Auburn
Michigan has to find themselves on the defensive side of the ball, I know they lost some players but come on.
Notre Dame, other than Clausen I have nothing good to say about them. 3 games -13 yards rushing, no offensive TD's.
UCLA is added after losing by nearly 40 points.
Auburn lost to USF and MSU!!!! enough said. Brandon Cox is a horrible QB.

All I can say is Tuberville may well have been Croomed (at the end of the season)......but that MSU team yesterday is improved from previous years......last year if Henig (starting qb) would have gotten hurt they would folded up tent and headed home with their tails between their legs......yesterday for me was a welcomed surprised....as i have my alma mater finishing 2-10 this year in the preseason

1. USC

3. Florida

5. Rutgers
Ok USC is definantly the best team by far. Sure they only scored 38 against Idaho but they stomped Nebraska. Oklahoma is so unbelievable with their running game. Both of their horses were out in there first game and they still rolled the running game on people and now all the sudden they have a QB with 4 less TD's than incompletions. Florida: Tebow to Harvin and thats all you have to know. Speed kills and Florida has enough to beat LSU and I don't think Matt Flynn is the real deal. I think Pearaloux is a much more complete player. And finally Rutgers. Sure WV has Steve Slaton and Pat White but Rutgers has Ray Rice and something that almost every other Big East team is lacking and that is defense.
Disappointments:
1. Michigan - Sure they beat ND but I think Craig James said it best "ND is inept on both sides of the ball"
2. The State of Iowa - when your state's best team is FSD Northern Iowa you might be in trouble
ND doesn't make that list because who would have thought that a team that lost 14 starters on a team with a mediocre defense and an ok offense would be this bad. Oh yeah I did. Jimmy Clausen is not the QB he is supposed to be. I will stamp an 1-11 record on ND this year. The only team they could beat is Navy and that one is going to be close. They will get optioned to death by a decent Air Force team. They may want to make that "Field Goal Jesus" because they couldn't put the ball in the endzone unless they punted it there.
Sleepers:
USF - The Bulls are good and I am happy to say I put a straight bet on them to beat Auburn and won.
UCF - Central Florida can play. They have a good running back and gave Texas a run this weekend. George O'Leary can coach but I wouldn't have him look over your resume.
Kentucky - they play in the SEC but they may end up with 8 or 9 wins. I know Louiville is like x-lax on defense but I think Woodsen can play.
Duke - They may not win another game until...Oh, yes, they do play ND. So Duke will win 2 games after going 0 for their last 22 games. Not much of a sleeper but Northwestern may be starting another long losing streak.

Well you got 5 players suspended and a curfew so things might be turning around for Iowa. Kirk is dropping the hammer on his team.

Keep an eye on BC, I believe they're ranked #14 right now but their offense is unreal.
