I just noticed that everyone's posts are very tall, regardless of a big signature or not. A lot of empty space to scroll through. I noticed the reason is from the member info under the avvy (name, location, reps, etc.). Is there anyway to tame that down - same info... just smaller?

For example... look at this post and the massive amount of blank space until the next post.

Well, we could take off the join date, age, location, etc if people would rather have it that way.

I like the info. Isn't there anyway to make it smaller? I mean, it's just a bunch of text. Every piece of info gets its own special 'box'.

Does LB have a 'web guy' that knows how to edit code? Or, are you stuck using the 'default' layouts?

I am the "web guy." Yes I know how to do it, but I don't see what you are expecting? Mash the Join date, location, age, posts, rep power, etc all on one unorganized line?

Not in one line. But, yes, 'mash' them. IMO, there are too many unnecessary pixels between lines of info.

Sort of like taking a double-spaced document and making it single-spaced.

Instead of...

Join Date

Age

Posts

Reps

etc...

Something like this...

Join date
Age
Posts
Reps
Etc...

Just condensing.

As an example... look at your post above and notice all the blank space to scroll through to get to the next post.

I like the format/layout, too. Only exception being the user info is too spread out, IMO. It makes long threads even longer. LOL

It actually makes long threads no longer. It does in fact make short threads longer however. There is not too much space that can really be taken out, as I know of no way to edit the amount of pixels a regular <br> (page break) creates in html. The only effective way to reduce the length would be to have multiple things on one line. Not too sure how good that would look. What is your screen resolution btw?

My res varies, depending on where I'm at... work = 1280x1024, home = 1680x1050.

As an example of what I might be talking about, look at the posts over at AM. The user info is presented in a more-condensed fashion.

It's def. not worth the trouble if you can't just add/edit a couple lines of code. Just a suggestion from someone who spends too much time on message boards.

Can you get rid of the 'outline' boxes that surround the bits of info? Maybe put them in one 'box'?

Please don't think I'm just picking... I am really digging this site.

You could use HTML to scale it down though.

I'm not for the change, i'm just saying that its do-able.
