ladies & gentlemen....here are some stats...
height 5'8''
weight-180
bf-approx 13% (electronic bf analyzer)
neck-19''
chest (front lat spread)-45.75''
right arm (flexed)-16.25''
left arm (flexed)-16.5''
right thigh-23''
left thigh-24''
right calf-15.25''
left calf-15.25''
brief history: i trained for sports performance from 15-21, from then on for aesthetic (bodybuilding) purposes. i weighed as much as 205 in college at a bodyfat of about 12% when i was still playing football. while in college i underwent 3 knee surgeries (2 scopes & an acl reconstruction). this explains the muscular imbalance between my legs. after graduation i partnered up with an npc competitor at my gym and got serious. last spring i was in the low 190s with a bodyfat around 12%. he was helping to coach me up for my first show in Aug of last year. i moved 4 hours away to take a job as a manager in a very large health club outside of new orleans. after being here for a whopping 3 days, i contacted the promoter and found out that the show had been cancelled (5 weeks out). i was walking around at about 6% bf, go ahead ask me how that made me feel. so since then i have been just working my ass off and and my personal life has been pretty stressful. so my training has been going well for the last 6-7 months but nothing that i would describe as hardcore.
but its time to pick it back up...

just got the new MASS FX in the mail, 2 caps down then off to the gym. i'm very excited about my training although i have a cold the sore throat and nasal problems are a pain, but manageable. today is biceps, hams, quads...after about a 10 minute warmup, its time to go. leg exercises are performed slowly and with much caution due to chronic knee pain.

today's was a good workout. i didnt train with all out intensity b/c of my cold. i felt a little weak and sluggish going in b/c i missed a meal and i cant breath vey well...i believe i did notice a slight increase of energy from the MASS FX. i double up on a lower body compound movement for the first time in a while...i hope my knee doesnt bother me much fom this...
much thanks to big tim who enabled me with the MASS FX to run this log

OFF DAY
i'm feeling pretty good....abouth the only complaint that i have is that my knee is a little sore...my cold is clearing up more...i have a little DOMS in my hams from thursday. my traps and rear delts are also a little tight & sore from yesterday. my biceps look really full and feel pumped, as if i had done a few light, high rep sets of curls...weird...maybe the MASS FX is beginning to kick in...
can i get an AX rep to chime in on this?
diet is the same...supps are the same...
i have a buddy coming in this afternoon, my old roomate and teammate from college. i'm pretty pumped about us training tomorrow! he's 6'3'' and about 235 and a beast in the weight room so i know he will push me.

Day 4 Sunday Feb 17, 2008:
I get to train back today, life is good! my buddy came in from out of town but he had to leave early and couldn't train (he's a puss)
pullups 10x, 10x, 10x
-ss-
hypers 10x, 10x, 10x
t-bar rows (not counting bar) 155 - 10x, 180 - 9x, 200 - 8x
close grip pulldowns 180 - 10x, 200 - 8x, 210 - 8x
-ss-
decline situps (bench goes up every set) 25x, 20x, 15x
1 arm standing cable rows (think db rows) 100 - 10x, 120 - 10x, 130 - 10x
alt db hammer curls 45 - 10x, 55 - 8x, 65 - 6x, 75 - 8x (straps)
swiss ball crunches 20x, 20s rest, 10x (all slow reps, these suck)
-ss-
ez bar reverse curls 65 - 20x, 20s rest, 10x (all slow reps, these also suck)
another really good workout, i had a great pump in my lats and my forarms were full and vascular. i am really focused on training while in the gym, i tend to block out all distractions (music, stinky old people, girls in tight clothes). i feel like i have to hold back at the end of my workouts b/c i wanna do more.

Mon Feb 18, 2008:
i'm feeling kinda sore from yesterday's back attack. lower lats and rear delts seem to be somewhat tender. i have some chesticle training today (i used to blow up some chest back when i was a teenager, now not so much)...
Chest/Tri's/Calves
incline bench 95 - 10x, 135 - 10x, 185 - 10x, 205 - 8x, 225 - 6x (pretty clean)
-ss-
donkey calf raises 100 - 20x, 200 - 15x, 285 - 10x, 285 - 10x
incline db press 70 - 10x, 80 - 8x, 90 - 6x
standing smith calf raises (explosive) 135 - 20x, 185 - 20x, 225 - 20x
-ss-
cable crossovers 40 - 15, 45 - 15x, 50 - 15x (the last 2 sets burned like hell)
lying 1 arms db skullcrushers 25- 10x, 30 - 8x, 35 - 6x
-ss-
1 leg seated calf raises 45 - 20x, 55 - 20x, 65 - 20x
1 arm cable kickbacks 30 - 12x, 40 - 10x, 50 - 8x
-ss-
burnout bench dips 30x (slow with good form)
i opted out of core training today...all i could think about since i finished the crossovers was how pumped my chest was...pretty damn good workout today. its 8:45pm (about 11 hrs later) and all 3 muscle groups are already sore. tomorrow is an off day, thats good and bad, i WANT to train again, but i NEED to recover!
i'm lookin forward to the next one...
