Default MST Ragnarok & Insulin Modulators

I believe Vanadyl and R-ALA would be Insulin Modulators....

Ok, I want to try the Ragnarok caffeine free Blue Raz in the future...

However, I saw it contains BOTH Vanadyl & R-ALA, I know Vanadyl can have average effects on BG, and am positive R-ALA has these effects. It sounds from the label that you should consume this pre- or post- workout, but in any event, lets say I want to take it pre-workout.

So, how much effect would protein have on the contents on Rag as it says not to consume within an hour of a protein shake and should be consumed 2hrs after a meal. I would assume to alter the effects caused by R-ALA, you would want to consume some moderate GI carbs with this and some protein, but am not sure what type of effects this will have (if any) and how big/small the meal should be....

Rag made me feel like absolute shit during my workout; definitely effected my BG. It got to a point where I would have to sit down because I was so tired and light-headed and wait a few minutes. I ended up giving it to Wedgylx. I would try to take it with some carbs if I were you.

My last experience of it was one of the older flavors and when I took it less than an hr or so after my protein shake my stomach felt like deuce. I didn't have much left so I tossed it and never looked back. I liked it until it got to that point for me.

Hmmm, anyone have these issues and was able to find a way to counteract it....?

Maybe take a morning dose like you would an R-ALA product, then eat and follow with your workout....

I take ragnarok on an empty stomach, eat about 30-40 minutes after (small meal, 25-40g carbs, 25-30g protein, less than 10g fats) then go work out. I really can't take any stim containing product without having something to eat before workout or I end up with indigestion and heartburn

Either way - I would go with the stim free version, just because it gives you more flexibility. They actually add a little focusing complex anyways (which I didn't know about until just a few days ago - how's that for applied knowledge) - and if you need the extra kick, caffeine pills are dirt cheap.

Honestly, I'm really not sure that protein or a small meal would have any real effects on absorbtion. Where the difference comes in is speed of delivery - it is quicker to move things through on an empty stomach, and you tend to get a more 'concentrated' dose at once. If you read a lot of NO containing products, they will often say consume on an empty stomach; it's because that's where the effect is maximized the quickest - but it is still effective with a meal.

Since R-ALA is a mimicker, yes - I would consume some form of carbohydrates with it. With my experiences, with as little as 20g of carbs I was ok, although I usually did 30-40g. For what it is worth, I ran the original version of Ragnorok - and really didn't experience those side effects (I rather liked it, although I nailed them for the milling and caffeine ).

I like the RAG. I tried the original version and the new better tasting versions. IMO the caffiene version made me feel like I was on crack but threw up some PR's on the stuff too. The Caffiene free version was pretty damn good as well. I consumed The Rag about 1hr 1/2after having 25g Protein + 60g maltodextrin. I had nice pumps and pretty good strength and focus with both versions..... minus the feeling of being on crack with the caffiene free version.
