Default Fiber help

Ok I notice when I take 2 scoops of syntha 6, which has fiber, It helps curve my appetite and when i just do 100% whey it does nothing for my appetite. I was thinking about doing Palumbo's diet and it says everyone should take 2X fibers per day. Ok so how should i get this fiber? Should I just go to walmart and buy fiber in a powdered form. I guess i never looked into fiber becuase i have never had problems shitting. Also, if i up fiber will I be on the pot all day?

Im not possitive but if i remember right syntha 6 was a more slow release protein. I might be wrong though. If i am right then that would expalin the cured appetite. As far as upping the fiber, you might spend some more time on the can but Im not sure-that depends on how much time you already spend on there

that is true about the syntha 6 however it is the only protein that i have taken with fiber it in. I think it is the fiber that curves the appetite rather than it being a slow releasing protein. If that was the case, the casein i take at night would curve the appetite since it is a slow releasing BUT IT DOES NOT. so im not sure... thanks for the quick response grow!

I WAS doing this diet and ended up with a severe case of ummm hemorrhoids. If you havent ever had this problem it is not something you want to experience trust me.

I noticed that most of the fiber supplements are actually pretty low in fiber content unless you megadose them. I found a tortilla made by a company named Mission. It is a whole wheat tortilla called carb balance. The burrito size tortilla 21grams of dietary fiber. Thats a pretty large amount. 31 grams of total carbs. So your only getting in 10 net carbs. Not to bad and worth the pain imo.

Yes imo the cost/benefit ratio is much better. I say that having never used a fiber supp though. But just looking at the labels I was not impressed.

Technically yes as he preaches "no carbs at all". But remember the basic diet is just a starting point. We dont ever see how he adjusts carbs for each athelete he trains.

I think throwing in one of these carb tortillas a day around workout times (pre/post) would not hurt you considering its only 10grams of net carbs.

You could use ALA/R-ALA before eating it to further ensure you remain in ketosis or at least stay close.

Still you really want to get at least 30gram of fiber per day so adding in a fiber supplement would not hurt. Or perhaps another fibrous food.

That actually looks better then the majority of supps I looked at. Not to mention a pretty good price on it.
