I understand your perspective on this; however, this logic means one should have a small breakfast or else, but it is actually the contrary. Breakfast is one of those meals where you can get away with eating more as with a post-workout meal.
Now obvious if this approach works for someone and they do not feel lethargic they I would advise this dosing scheme, but add in another dose in the AM.
