Default Few questions about possble supplements.

My girlfriend has been participating in an 8 week challenge which is pretty much like boot camp. at. Class meets Monday-Friday. She is on week 5 or so, and is seeing pretty good results. She runs out of motivation sometimes, especially today, so I gave her a serving of Anabolic Innovations Maniac. Other than that she is doing no supplements, besides maybe a little glutamine here and there. Is is alright if she continues to take Maniac, she said her mile run today felt easy compared to the other days.. other suggests are appreciated....discuss.....

Also by Thursday and Friday she has terrible shin splints. Anything for this besides the icing she is already doing?

For shin splint, google stretches for them. I have a lot of damage in my shins (cracks/fractures) from sports and the stretches do actually help some

Great I will do that. If she did not have Saturday and Sunday to recover, she would not be able to do the class. She struggles to get through class on friday with the shin splints.

I know you can buy compression bands that you wear just below your knee (Shin Splints are caused by muscle expanding and rubbing against your shin). The band keeps your shin in place and puts less pressure on the muscle

As far as supplements go, the maniac will work well, and MST's codygen vo2 ultra would also help quite a bit, especially to aid in endurance so she doesn't feel quite so gassed at the end.

I just did not know how giving a female a product with creatine with react. I also have Primed Ultra by ALRI i was going to have her take....

not so sure on the primed ultra. As for the creatine, I don't remember which form is in MANIAC, but if its mono and she's prone to holding extra water, this may pose an issue

Looks like the only type of creatine in it is Creatine Malate

Alright... I finally bothered to look up AI Maniac. I don't typically bother with AI products, but here's why that one day would have seemed better:


Energy Burst:

L-Tyrosine, Taurine, Caffeine


Caffeine does amazing things. There wasn't enough exposure time to elevate PCr levels, and arginine will have done jack all shit. The stimulant will have an effect first go around. I dont see any reason she can't take this, although I don't like arginine/caffeine or combinations thereof in endurance situations. Come to think of it, I don't really like arginine at all.
