Trauma1's Real Life In The E.R.

Ok boys and girls I've decided to start a thread dedicated to the strange and amazing environment that is my home "The Emergency Room." I've been an emergency room nurse for about 7 years most of it working alot of trauma as a charge nurse on night shift(Thank god i'm days now!!)....and yes that's where my name stems from.

Over the years I've certainly witnessed my share of miracles, sadness, and the flat out unbelievable. I've dedicated this thread to sharing some of these stories with you all. Now know in advance that no names or places of the actual occurances will be declassified. I'll try to focus on some of the more interesting stories and boy i have alot of them.

I currently work in a much smaller E.R. than I'm used too. It only has 30 beds and no trauma

, but the money is good. I've actually be precepting and new nurse lately and been utilized in that fashion alot lately because i do have alot of experience and knowledge to share.....plus I love to teach!

I'll get started on this probably this weekend as it's been a long day and I need some rest. Anyway hope you all enjoy!

Yup a few times. I remember I took care of a guy once that told me he was having abdominal pain/flank pain. I went along with my typical standing orders as usual and i thought for sure the guy was a kidney stone the way he was acting and wouldn't sit still. Well once he felt a little more comfortable in the situation he proceeded to tell me he had a 7 inch dildo stuck up his butt and it was still on! The guy was like a mexican jumping bean on the stretcher lol. Sure enough the guy had it so far up there that his sphincter retracted it into his colon. To make a long story short we couldn't get it out so he went to the O.R to have his dildo removed. Talk about embarrasing.

Don't worry bro I have a sh*t load! There are stories better than that believe it or not....you'll just have to stay tuned to see haha

Hahaha, silly rabbit. Everybody knows you tie a string on it, so you could pull it out...or at least that is what I heard
