I keep the same splits, but I like to train more instinctual.
I.E.
Legs/Calves
Chest/Front Delts/Medial Delts
Back/Rear Delts/Medial Delts
Bi-Tri and then sometimes a light leg day.
But then I mess with exercises, sets and reps every work out.

I tend to think extra workouts is a bad idea unless you're doing extra to help in recovery at the same time. Like more protein + more sleep, maybe some massage therapy, steroids of course, or maybe some other modality.

Right now I'm doing MWF alternating between
1) AM: Biceps, Quads, Chest, Front Delt. PM: Abs, Forearm & grip
2) AM: Triceps, Hamstrings, Back, Rear Delt, Side Delt. PM: Abs, Forearm & grip
And going to be picking up the cardio game on most other days.

I generally agree, but the trap/shoulder workout won't be long and it follows arms...Maybe I will have a cheat day that day...

A lot of work, do you create enough stimuli? How long are your workouts?

so what i found was that w/my arm raised above my head and curling my hand towards my head really focused that part of my bicep. i walked over to the cable stack and put a bent bar on the top cable spot. with my back to the cable stack, i grabbed this bent bar with a "curling grip" and lowered myself to my knees. i than began curling the weight stack from a full arm extension to the back of my head. after the first set, i knew i was on to something. even with a typically "lighter" curling weight, it made that part of my bicep pumped. i did another set, and then i had two guys come over and ask me about the exercise i was doing and why.
