Default 1 Rep max calculator

I am unsure if you are aware of this, and Im not sure on the formula used here, but after a certain point I believe this calculator to be quite off. I consider myself fairly strong, but I do not believe in me benching 225, 28 times would equate to me benching 908 pounds. Maybe, but highly unlikely.

lol I do not think so either. we are using the standard one rep max formula, however it works most accurately with reps between 1-10. The formula we are using is as follows:

weight/(1.0278-(.0278*reps))

If you know of a better way to go about this, please let me know! This is just what I have found on most websites.....

Big congrats on those reps!

The higher the rep range the less accurate the calculator becomes-not just this one but all of them. Most will not have developed the power to press the weight as they have been training at a lower % too long. Also, for an example the Eplsy formula says about 8% of a 3 rep max. But some will find they will not be able to bench 8% of the 3 reps but may get 8-10% on a SQ. (weight dependant). It varies....anything over a 5 rep range I would say is likely going to be off. 2-3 reps is the most accurate.
