General Feelings:
Have not been sleeping well for the past few days, a lot has been going on and running through my mind. I have really missed my workouts and look forward to this week and getting in more than 3x a week.

Been having a lot of very weird dreams at night or during naps on the weekend and I get in a dream state very fast.

Workout:
Varied from my normal ME day as I was lifting with a couple of friends and they wanted to do a pyramid form a chart they had. It was a pretty good workout but took so long with the 3 of us that I did not get anything else in. I also shot a little low as I have not done singles on flat bench in a very long time. But made up for it on the back side and on the singles.

I was very pleased with my strength especially not lifting heavy for quite some time on any bench movements. I did struggle with the 455 but my lift off guy was nto use to my style yet so it was a little shaky. I was also surprised that I had so much strength and endurance on the back end.

Conditioning:
Cable sprints with 50Lbs of resistance.

Thanks for stopping in! I agree, especially when I go back and read over what I have done. Can see what was going on and how it affected my workouts.

Not too worried about the dreams, must be hitting some really deep sleep. What was funny is a few of them have been about taking a cruise to the Caribbean. Must need a vacation or something!

Sorry for the lack of updates, but the past few weeks have been very hectic for me with work. So when I do get home it is time for the family then hit the rack. So here is a low down…

Weight has been constant at 186 but I am adding some size but body fat is decreasing. With all that has been going on my diet has been shot so I need to get back on it. Strength has been going up and been pretty much injury free. I did get sick with some intestinal bug for 2 days this week but I have bounced back and am at 100%.

Now for some even better news, I received an entry form for a contest in December for a Raw bench competition. Well after a 3 year layoff my wife and I decided to go ahead and give it a try. Not sure if I want to try to get below 181 or stay where I am at and compete in 198. Either way I will beat the state record by almost 100Lbs for my first lift so that is not an issue. I just need to see where I feel my best at.

So I have my sights set for December 1 for the contest and it is time to get serious.

I was pretty excited as well, normally this federation gets their announcements to me about 3 weeks prior to the contest.

I normally compete in Washington State but this one is in Idaho, it is Pride Powerlifting and is put on by Monster Muscle. This will be my first time lifting in their fed.

I agree, ever since I missed out on my last comp (3 years ago) due to my son being born a few weeks early (best reason to drop out of a comp), I have really missed competing. However i am no getting th time to train more seriously for a PL meet. Still cannot do as heavy as I would like due to my lifting partner but not being greedy!

General Feelings:
Body was real tired from the weekend, I spent a lot of time using a cleaning compound and then buffing out my truck. So my triceps and shoulders were pretty worn out. Energy was pretty good all day as was my mood. I did ingest some gluten on accident the past couple of days so I am starting to feel the effects of that as well.

Workout:
Very motivated at the gym I was more than ready to start to prepare for the contest. I felt real strong but with my shoulders totally exhausted from doing my truck I just could not get the weight up like I felt I could. Everything (support wise) felt heavy. I was not happy with my first start at all. But good news is that I can only go up hill from here!

Conditioning:
Heavy bag 3 sets of 60 punches each arm at 3 different heights.
